Vocabulary Workshop Level E

The Sadlier-Oxford Vocabulary Workshop series is one of the best-known English language learning programs in the world. Each unit is keyed to a specific U.S. grade level. For example, the vocabulary workshop level e is designed to provide proficiency at the American tenth grade level, which is the equivalent of being a sophomore in an American high school.

The vocabulary workshops provide word lists containing over three hundred words for each level or grade. The units are presented in fifteen lessons, which become progressively more detailed and difficult. The goal of the workshop series is for students to master word meanings as well as word usage. However, the workshop series does not provide a comprehensive answer key for all the test questions presented.

This is problematic for the solo language learner, in particular, as that individual will have no immediate resources for confirmation and validation of test answers. To be able to stay on track and progress timely through the lessons presented in each unit, students need a comprehensive and accurate resource that can provide answers at each level; for example the vocabulary workshop level e answers are keyed specifically to the level e test questions.

Another component of the vocabulary workshop series, especially at the higher levels, is practice work involving the types of exercises and their formats, as found on, for example, the SAT test.  The Sadlier-Oxford Vocabulary Workshop is known for features such as building context through vocabulary and vocabulary enrichment.  At the vocabulary workshop level e, analogies are an important lesson, preparing the student to excel when taking standardized tests, like the ACT and SAT.

High scores on standardized tests lead to invitations to attend more prestigious colleges and universities. Therefore, it is important that students apply themselves diligently to the lessons presented, and work hard to attain the highest possible scores on the vocabulary workshop tests. One sure way to increase test scores is to take those tests over and over again.

However, unless the student has access to correct test answers, this exercise will be performed in vain. Repeating the tests helps the student retain more information each time.  When the time comes to take the standardized test, the student will have achieved a high level of confidence in his mastery of the workshop material, and will then perform better on the standardized test.

You can boost your scores, save time, and reduce frustration by adding vocabulary workshop answers at each level of the Sadlier-Oxford Vocabulary Workshop series. Give yourself the best opportunity for success with this valuable resource.
